How much does your credit score improve when a car repossession comes off?

my credit score was in the high 500′s a couple of months ago. last month a car repo was removed from my report, but i dont know the score. does anyone have an idea how much my score should have improved? im trying to buy a house and need a 620.

  1. Tht would take 7 years to resolve. But you have to pay on time each month to get a good score. No lates, no deliquent. You had a repro, so hopefully no other negative comments on your report.
    It would take several years of perfect payment history to go from 600s to 700s. Maybe 7-10 years.
    Also in that time do not open any accounts as that is a credit inquiry and takes points off the score.

  2. First of all get a copy of your report (which I presume you have done – that would be how you would know that the repo came off).

    Now go to the “Credit Score Estimator” on the creditcards credit-card-tools site listed in sources. Be totally honest – this will be seen by no one but you. Use your credit report to answer the questions.
